Oregon Wheat Awards $24,000 in Scholarships

The Oregon Wheat Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Oregon Wheat scholarships. Each student will receive a $2,000 scholarship to support their studies at their selected university, community college or vocational/trade school. Awardees include:

  • Addie Saunders, Malheur County
  • Addison Smith, Sherman County
  • Ella Wilde, Baker County
  • George Barnett, Wasco County
  • Hunter Hansell, Umatilla County
  • Katelynn Melville, Wallowa County
  • Keira Counsell, Union County
  • Madison Cranston, Sherman County
  • Owyhee Harguess, Wallowa County
  • Ryder Steward, Gilliam County
  • Sophia Seeder, Marion County
  • Taylor Weishaar, Union County

Annually, the Foundation selects up to twelve graduating high school seniors who are children of a grower member of the Oregon Wheat Growers League, or whose parents are employed by a grower member. The scholarship is also open to students who have worked for local growers.
