For 2027, the Oregon Wheat Foundation is again expanding its baking contest to county fairs in additional counties. Make plans to participate this year in county fairs for Baker, Gilliam, Linn, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa and Wasco counties!

The Foundation sponsors a junior (ages 7-13) and adult (ages 14 and up) contest in each of the nine selected wheat growing counties. 

Prizes awards are as follows:

Adults: 1st place $100; 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $50

Juniors: 1st place $50; 2nd place $35 and 3rd place $25

The Rules for the 2027 contest and recipes for the youth and adult divisions will be posted in 2027.
