In 2025 the Oregon Wheat Foundation brought back baking contests to county fairs in Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman, Umatilla and Wasco counties!

The Foundation sponsored a junior (ages 7-13) and adult (ages 14 and up) contest in each of the five selected wheat growing counties. 

Prizes awarded were as follows:

Adults: 1st place $100; 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $50

Juniors: 1st place $50; 2nd place $35 and 3rd place $25
